If you want to visit the Queen's...Balmoral Estate is 5 minutes away, and Balmoral Castle (where the Royal family stays) is only 15 minutes drive by car.

Getting aroundThe easiest way to get in and around Ballater is by car, but many people like to walk and cycle. We also have an hourly bus service through the village linking Ballater with Perth and Aberdeen.
Once you have arrived there are two bike shops, guided walks, and even a walk with a Shetland pony!
